Wanda Lee Beck

Wanda Lee Beck, aged 81, of Auburn, formerly of Hillsboro, passed away on February 22, 2024, at Arcadia Care in Auburn.

Wanda was born to her parents John M. and Mattie M. (Edwards) Dalby on January 8, 1943, in Carlinville, Illinois.

She attended Carlinville High School and went to Lincoln Land Community College to become a CNA. She eventually came to work for the Illinois Department of Transportation and later retired. Wanda then spent the rest of her years as a homemaker.

She attended the Baptist Church in Raymond and then the Assembly of God in Pawnee.

Wanda married Jerry Lee Welge Sr. in 1960, which later ended in divorce. She then married Glen William Beck Jr. in 1990, and he preceded her in death in 1999.

Surviving Wanda is her son, Jerry (June) Welge Jr. of Texas and daughter, Penny (Charlie) Estes of Divernon, as well as 6 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Carolyn Carmicheal, of Kentucky.

Wanda was preceded in death by her husband Glen, a grandchild Joshua Welge in 2020, and siblings Joann Sereg and Louis Dalby.

A graveside service will be held February 26, 2024, at 11:00 AM in Bost Hill Cemetery, Fillmore.
